What is WCMUN?
WCMUN is a two-day high school Model United Nations conference hosted by Western Canada High School in downtown Calgary. (Top)
Why should I attend WCMUN?
Model United Nations conferences, in general, provide a setting to develop the critical thinking, public speaking, and cooperation skills that will serve participants well into the future. Model UN fosters a love of engagement in world affairs and in politics and challenges delegates to find feasible solutions to real, pressing issues, preparing them for the road ahead and encouraging the growth of future world leaders and thinkers. WCMUN in particular is run by Western Canada High School's Model United Nations team, which is run by a team of dedicated, passionate students. As such, the WCMUN conference promises to be a unique learning experience with a seamless execution. (Top)

What is the dress code for WCMUN?
Semi-formal or business professional attire is expected. Furthermore, all clothing must comply with the following guidelines: (Top)

Clothing must cover undergarments.

Skirts or dresses must be no shorter than mid-thigh.

Tops must cover stomach.
-
Tops may not be show cleavage and must have shoulder straps.
What is the technology policy for WCMUN?
Technology use will not be permitted. Please have all notes printed out before the conference and bring a pencil or pen, and paper to write on (for resolutions or notes). (Top)

How do I get around Western?
That is a good question. The easiest thing to do is to ask for directions or follow the signs posted throughout the school. Should that fail, please refer to the maps below: (Top)
